Concept Note
Culture and heritage constitute the foundation upon which civilizations are built, sustained and transmitted across generations. They embody collective memory, traditions, artistic expressions, languages, indigenous knowledge systems and social values that shape human identity. In an era of globalization, technological transformation and rapid urbanization, preserving and creatively utilizing cultural heritage has become essential for sustainable development.
Youth are not merely inheritors of heritage but active agents of innovation and social transformation. Their engagement with digital technologies, entrepreneurship, creative industries and community initiatives enables them to reinterpret heritage in contemporary contexts while preserving its authenticity. Heritage therefore becomes a living resource capable of promoting education, creativity, employment, tourism, environmental sustainability and intercultural dialogue.
The International Conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, educators, policymakers, heritage professionals, artists, entrepreneurs and students to deliberate upon the relationship between heritage, youth and development. Through academic dialogue and collaborative knowledge exchange, the conference seeks to generate innovative ideas and practical strategies for building culturally resilient and sustainable societies.
